HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

It is the policy of Liberty Maritime Corporation to operate the vessels under our management to the highest health and safety standards in total compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and statutes. Our management team is committed to systematically identify and eliminate all potential sources of accidents and provide a healthy work environment. In order to assure that we achieve these objectives, Liberty Maritime Corporation is committed to:
  • Providing sufficient authority and resources to those charged with implementing this policy and directing them to report directly to me on its implementation;
  • Supporting all of our ship personnel in their efforts to adhere to Liberty Maritime Corporation’s heath and safety procedures;
  • Provide the resources and equipment to comply with all applicable local, national and international health and safety laws and regulations;
  • Identify shipboard hazards, implement controls to minimize the risks, and provide the safety training, meetings, exercises and drills necessary to improve safety skills;
  • Routinely collect information on each ship’s condition, conduct audits as necessary, and implement procedures to routinely check and ensure that all safety, lifesaving, and firefighting equipment is maintained to international and statutory requirements; and
  • Analyze all incidents, including near miss incidents to determine the root cause and implement the necessary corrective action.
All employees are required to follow this policy by complying with all of the requirements of Liberty Maritime Corporation’s Safety Management System as well as all applicable local, national and/or international regulations, laws and statutes.
